Hi all
Can somebody who listens to a scanner at EGCC tell me which freq flight to LHR switch to after departure if possible the one after that aswell. If anybody can do that it would be great.

No. By law, it is illegal to listen to and pass on information heard on a scanner. About anything, be it aviation, marine, emergency services etc.
You would do well posting the question again in the ATC forum and putting the question across in a different way. :)

To be fair, he didnt say he was going to listen. I suspect (without actually looking), the frequency will be freely available printed on the Standard Instrument Departure chart for EGCC published somewhere in here: www.ais.org.uk
Well, he is asking for someone who listens to Manchester, to pass on the next freq that the crew of the London bound plane will receive. That can only be done if the 'user' is listening to the scanner and hears the next freq and posts it here. In my book, that is passing on information heard on the scanner which is illegal regardless whether he is going to listen to it or not!
As I said though, I would go and post on the ATC forum and ask for a Manchester controller what the next freq will be.

Sorry, pedant mode on now, none of them have actually said "the pilot was told to tune in to xxx freq last night so that is the one you need...." that would be illegal. They are discussing freqs that are already published not what they have heard the pilot being told to tune to. Big difference I am afraid.

Yawn -- This is all a bit silly -- Thousands of folk own and use scanners and shops sell radios for listening to the airband ! Even live ATC is available online at www.liveatc.net
