I heard through the grapevine that Toyota has a corporate jet in Brussels and needs a co pilot.
Does anyone know a little more like salary, schedule lifestile, requirements and were to apply maybe?

They have a one yaer old Learjet 60 OO-TME based at Brussels, hangared with Abelag. If you contact them they will probably be able to help you

Hi there,
I am a Captain flying this Lear.
It has good points and then there are some negative sides.
The good things, RON's are limited, about 5 a month (I have a family)
Toyota does not quite go bankrupt!, been there, done that, it is not an aviation company.The stability factor is definitely present.
New airplanes, this 60 is not to our satisfaction and there will be a possible fleet expansion this or next year.
You get to pick a company car, tax, fuel and insurance paid for (just guess once what brand this is?)

As a Captain the gross yearly income can be over a E100.000.
As a FO you can expect E2200 a month (x 14 a year) after tax, you will have to reside in Belgium and Belgium taxes are killing you>

On the other side, this is not an aviation company as mentioned, your flying abilities are not important.
THe company does not understand the first thing about aviation, there is a lot of explaining to office people (why you can not land with a 100 metres visibility eg)
The chief pilot has a FAA license (we are Belgium JAA registered), has never flown under JAR OPS or as a Captain before and is a control freak, example, as a Captain I am not to decide how much fuel is on board, he does!
There are some discussion about all of this, FOM is also a new concept for him.
The biggest mistake I ever made was that we landed 20 min ahead of schedule with one of our presidents and the company limo was not ready (a Lexus needless to say) and he had to be transported in a Mercedes.
Captains fault for this disgrace!
Bottomline, for now it is all very stable.
You fly about 400 hrs a year, requirements are 3000 hrs TT, 500 jet and preferable a LJ60 typerating, just PM me if interested.

Not too bad for the captain. FO salary seems a bit low.

Well... Understand your chief pilot is not captain qualified? Maybe you can organize some Jeppesen revisions for him while you are refueling:) If he is Captain qualified seems very scary..

Seen similar things in the past aswell - but life is:ooh: Car benefit is kind of a nice thing..

Well I received a lot of reactions (pm) to my reply,thanks Will Rogers, I guess I am identifyable.
Then again, you shouldn't go in aviation or hire professional pilots if you are not willing to listen to them or tell them to do things a bit more illegal!, not for me it's my income and life!
As a reaction to the Captains salary, yes the gross amount is OK, after tax this equals to about E 3100 a month, figure it out.
Property in Belgium is cheap which compensates for the low net income.
For the time being it's not so bad, as mentioned no bankruptcy threat.
