....I would put money on there being one or two interesting jobs in next week's Flight International. Not that I am a betting man; I prefer more concrete odds;)

Saw this in Flight:

http://www.flightinternational.com/Jobs/2006/02/07/1451367/Pilots.html

I called the recruitment agency to find out who their client is but they wouldn't tell me. Anyone got any ideas who the operator is - before I get myself into trouble?!

Global Operations
Bell206/407/212/412/AS332L, S76 & EC155

Looking at the types listed I would hazard a wild guess it might be these chaps:

http://www.bristowgroup.com/

PS. You could 'convert' the types listed above as: Escravos/Escravos/Eket/Escravos/Lagos, Lagos & Warri/Port Harcourt

It's Global with a hint of West Africa;)

Mind you, I could be miles out, and it could be Hong Kong helicopters, or Helicsa for all I know!

Hopefully to increase the numbers visiting the newsagent/website next week!;)

Gee...you are just way to perceptive there 212man!

That would be Bristow Nigeria except they say vacancies are due to expansion.....and that as you should know directly is not quite the right reason.

They are short pilots that is true.

SASless - I've met a few tall Bristow pilots!

Ah...but they have two of note....Hypen and Oscar the Cookie Monster.

Spoke to Oscar just the other day matter of fact.

Just looking at the other adverts in Flight.
MD902 Line Pilot Required at Cheltenham
Minimum requirements 2000 hours on type + IR
Must be loads of pilots out there that fit the bill:rolleyes:

They may be short of pilots. But I assume they don't have too much trouble finding them. They won't accept me with 2500tt and 1000 twin/offshore:hmm:
Just wondering, how desperate are they and how big is the turnover?

CHC is also looking for pilots again, could it be them as well?

I see my thread has very kindly been merged with another one, which might create the impression that I was referring to the advert about Nigeria (sorry, Global operations!)

I wasn't, and there will be an advert in next week's FI that is for a somewhat more pleasant location :ok:

(Not that Nigeria isn't a good option too!)

Ah Ha! All is revealed. BSP looking for a Training Captain and Helicopter Pilots. What a surprise! Is that because you've had enough already 212 or does the S92 need more crews than the 61?? ;)

No, I've not had enough and am looking forward to many happy years here!:ok:

Maybe see you on the Friday at Asian Aerospace?

212Man is probably burrowed in tighter than a tick!

It being a hardship there and all....I know he is only doing this out of a sense of duty and penance for his easy life in other warm tropical locales. No doubt he is demanding unsocial lifestyle bonus due to the lack of lukewarm Gulder there....but I am sure he can cope.

A beer at Asian Aerospace sounds like a good idea. I'll be there all week so if any PPruners are around PM me.

I've heard that a job in Brunei is a real cushy number..what a pity I'm too young :}

and this:

Ignore the reference to training captain in the second advert, it should just say helicopter pilots
