Has anybody anything to say about this school? Compared to other UK-based schools they seem to offer reasonable rates, particularly for an ICAO CPL/IR conversion to JAA.

Any comments (pro or con) would be very helpful!

I got my PPL with these guys before they were Flightpass! Fantastic bunch of guys, very friendly, realistic about costs and always seemed to have time for myself and even my family when needed.
For instance if I was delayed whilst out training, they would go and pick my wife up from work so she wouldn't be left hanging around waiting for me!

From what I have seen they have a few decent aircraft around them.

Exeter is also a great little airport to train from, nice mix of private, military and commercial traffic.

Give them a call and speak to Jerry Bird or Mark Annette (CFI).

Send my regards to them also. (tell them from the big guy who moved to OZ!!)

Flightpass are a good school, friendly, professional and well priced. The facilities are good and the sim has very high spec allowing much of the IR to be done on the ground saving some of the cost. Exeters a good place to operate out of as the commerical traffic is relatively low so you don't spend so much time waiting at holds, ground or air, but its not far form busier places to practice. I think Mark Anette has left though.

Check out Airways Flight Training as they are also a very professional outfit with a vast amount of experience, flexible and well priced with a friendly club like atmosphere.
