With a canadian licence, do companies in europe give you a Licence
Validation based on your present licence??

In other words if I have an EU passport, would i be able to fly in the UK, or Germany, with Canadian Licences??

Usually you will have to convert your licence to JAR, since this is a requirement for airlines flying JAA registered aircraft.

The most likely bet is that you will have to attend to a ATPL theory course and sit the required exams, this depends on experience you have. The course can be done full time in-house or via distance learning. There are various providers throughout Europe. As a Canadian, the UK might be the easiest location for you, although there are some schools in the States that do the JAR course. For starters, see www.bristol.gs > lincence requirements for more information.

What is it about Canadian contributors to this forum - you guys seem to have an aversion to filling out your profile and thus giving us some information on which to base an answer (and check that your query is in the right forum)?

Basically, you must have a JAA licence and the right to live and work here. Conversion is fairly straightforward but not necessarily cheap. Check LASORs (http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?categoryid=33&pagetype=65&applicationid=11&mode=detail&id=1591) for the authoritative answer.
