The application date for two positions in South African National Parks closed on 27 Jan 2006.
One for Chief Pilot(I thought HdW was sitting pretty-he obviously thought so too), and one for a pilot. Min 3000 hrs,1000hrs turbine and 500hrs gamework. This would be the third time in 2 years that they have to change pilots. The reason seems to be the fact that the Responsible person Safety wrote up a number of incidents against the CP, and when nothing came from management decided to resign.
Well it seems they did catch a wake-up then, because based on the advert he was relegated to the ranks, hence the advert. Heard he started looking for job at a number of companies. Wonder who he will use as references? The wheel turns slowly but surely in a small industry.
It was only a matter of time.
The positions on offer are fantastic opportunities for great flying in a demanding environment. Worth giving it a bash if you don't have to look over your shoulder for the knife all the time. Hopefully that threat has taken care of itself.
