See, this sort of controversy is why we need to look at it close up, Ripline;)

Apparently the Russians are planning a permanent mining base there by 2020, with the intention of collecting H3 - some form of helium, as I understand it - though quite why I'm not sure.

It was in the paper, so it must be true.
