Can a person work, (fly) for an airline that it is not of your country? I.E. Being a Spanish citizen, can you fly for TACA, COPA, GOL or any of the new low cost Mexican carriers?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Radial, I am afraid that is as possible as for a non EU citizen to fly in Spain. So do not put your money there :{

Sometimes yes, particularly in the case of certain Asian carriers.

Not so for any of the Latin American airlines, though.

You can if you head east.

Many companies in the Middle and Far East employ expatriate pilots (quite a few employ pilots from Latin America too.... which probably should tell you something), however you will be up against a lot of competition for seats.

Have a look in the relevant fora for more advice about a particular region.

As far as I know, only born Mexicans are allowed to fly as a commercial pilot in Mexico. (Was the case last year at least). So basically no chance!
