This came from my virus protection company:

<The blogosphere today, like the Internet that created it, is growing by epic proportions, and spammers have not only taken notice, but have staked out new turf. The Spam-Blog, or Splog, looks like a standard blog, reads like a blog, but is actually an elaborate piece of adware in disguise that was designed to appear as a blog. These convincing, though counterfeit blogs come complete with embedded site links that furtively lead visitors to such favorite spammer sites, and other Internet content, such as pornography, gambling, unlicensed software downloads and more. How prevalent has the splog become? Google was recently forced to delete more than 13,000 subdomains, which ended up containing splogs. So, if you enjoy frequenting blogs, keep a sharp eye out for any content that doesn't look or feel right.>
