Hotmail is compressing my photos!

I use Hotmail for my emails. They give me 250mb of storage and an attachment size of 10mb. However, I have noticed that when I try to send photos, Hotmail compresses them before they are sent. For instance, I was sending six photos each around 576kb in size. Each was compressed by Hotmail to 45kb before sending.

This is irritating and annoying.

Why is this happening and how can I change any settings to enable me to send larger photos? I am regularly sent large (>1mb) photographs.

Any Hotmail experts out there?

Hello M1900,

To send full-sized pictures with a new message, click Attach, and then click Files on the menu. -

In other words - don't use the MSN photo thingy to send photos.
