I had an interesting discussion at Check-In yesterday. A friend of mine flew ZRH-JNB-MTS. The check-in agent was not sure if she has to go trough customs and pick up her luggage in Johannesburg or not as when you continue from a domestic flight from JNB or if the luggage can be checked trough and she can stay in transit like with a international flight from JNB.
Any idea? I am not sure how the situation is with Swaziland/South Africa? Is Swaziland completely indepentent?

:hmm:

Perhaps only in as much as King Mswati 111 relies upon the indigenous female population from which to replenish, refresh and restore his concubinage.

:ugh:

"or if the luggage can be checked trough and she can stay in transit like with a international flight from JNB"
Technically (as on paper) - YES - that's the way it should happen.
Practically (as it happens) - EISCHH! Wait and see!:E

You can interline your bags throught to MTS no problem, if you want to make sure that your bags make it go past the SAA interline desk in the transit area and the SAA staff will check the tags are correct.
