Hi guy's

Just wondered if anyone knows what the "ideal" TIT (turbine inlet temp) is on a seneca 5 cruising at sea level.
With the fuel flow set at 12gals a side just wondering what figure you are looking for.

Any help appreciated

Vilo

Seneca V has two Continental turbo charged engines. :hmm:

Yea, I know what engines it has, but it still has a TIT gauge to measure the temp at the turbine side of the turbochargers.......

No longer quite so  Must stick to PT6s.:)

From what I remember I think it's about 1500, centigrades or fahrenheit I don't know...I'll check my old notebooks...

Yep. According to the expanded checklist, with the following settings
30"/2300rpm/12gph you're looking for a TIT of around 1500.

I would have thought that if you were 'cruising at sea level' the temperature of the turbine was the least of your concerns:eek:

I would use the old fashioned method of Peak EGT then lean one segment of rich on the gauge. or lean until it runs rough then rich until smooth plus 1 egt segment. frankly it will make no difference on the fuel flows below 10,000

the V will burn around 88 ltrs an hour at 5000 feet
