Star Jet is just a new name for the notorious Star Air Ltd from Jordan now based in Sharjah.

Be careful! This outfit is run by a Sudanese guy named Mohamed Abdulrahman, a close associate/partner of Imad Saba. The Jordanian registration is merely a "registration of convenience" and the planes will most certainly never fly to Jordan.

The modus operandi of many of these types of operators is to hire you and use you for as long as they can. Many crews move on after a month or two because of pay issues. Non payment, short payment or delayed payment.

Why do you think they are always advertising for crews? It's not due to growth. Same tired old planes operated by the same shonky businessmen using different airline names.

Wrong names, wrong company, DC10Dog.

StarAir is owned/run by Basam Michal, and altho he has not been all that forthcoming with crew salaries in the past, he has assured everyone that all back salaries will be paid, and crews now employed will also be paid on time.

The check is in the mail....:E :}

My reference was to Star Jet. The two guys I mentioned are connected to the same address and phone number that Star Jet uses at the Sharjah SAIF zone. Coincidence? You decide.

Either way, caution is advised.

Could be a part time or later even a good full time position.
Lets hope the guy pays, he sounds sincere anyway
Once burnt for pay its hard to go near the fire again.
