Captain PPRuNe has just signed an agreement to upgrade the current server.. .For the more technically minded Rotorheads, we're changing from a Dual PIII 550MHz, 512Mb RAM, dual 9Gb SCSI RAID to a Dual PIII 800MHz, 1Gb RAM, dual 18Gb SCSI RAID (10,000rpm). . .I don't know exacly what that means, but it sounds pretty impressive to me.. .. .Change over should occur around the beginning of April. . .. .The bad news is it will probably mean PPRune being off-air for a day or two, but the new higher powered server should put a stop to the recent server crashes we have been experiencing at peak times.. .. .Safe Flying. .Heliport. . . . <small>[ 17 March 2002, 16:01: Message edited by: Heliport ]</small>
