Hi All !

Just on my way to Samedan in a mighty H800XP.
Should arrive on Wednesday mid-day if the weather is fine.
I have never been there myself, will fly with an F/O who has been there once as SIC.
I have been briefed verbally by another experienced Captain, but does anyone have some interesting "gouge" (as the Americans call it) on:
- how to land and hopefully take off from there safely ? (BTW, we should be coming from the East) (patterns, speeds, altitudes, etc..)
- how is Handling there ?
and possibly but very important:
- what to do in town ? ski, pubs, ....
etc...
Thanks a milion !
Leo
PS: If anybody is there between Wed 18 and Sat 21, please PM me.

I can only suggest to you LSZS' official web site.

Also, watch for special airspace restrictions starting on the 21st (Davos WEF) that may affect your departure:
After your departure you will have to be IFR below 11000' on that day between 0800 and 1800LT.

Skiing is great, loads of Pubs Restaurants etc. But expensive.
Airports is small, no handling required, airport staff is most friendly and helpful - usually they attend the aircraft with a baggage trolley. If not VFR dont try it- way too much granite in the clouds... Radio contact is usually relatively late. Its a great place to be - enjoy !
