The Tiger Moth is a great piece of history and on my list, but I have heard that flying a Pitts is the best fun you can have with your pants on, so I just might have to give it a go.

I had a brief go in one before feeling a little queasy! Astounding is the word that springs to mind. If you get a chance, don't pass it up.

Top tip. If you have tightened the harness so that it starts to hurt, it probably still isn't right enough.

Another tip, make your lap and centre straps and the negative G strap as tight as you can, then you can relax the shoulder straps a little, makes it more comfortable.

Me, personally, I would go for the Tiger Moth just because of the history of the plane.

Not taking anything away from the Pitts though. I've never actually tried it, which is something I am ashamed of really - I can't knock it until I have had a go in it! Whereas, I've got a few hours logged in Tiger Moths and have to say that there is nothing more beautiful than taking a Summer Evenings flight in a Tiger.

I have this feeling that if I was to attempt it in the Pitts though, I would just become a vaguely nauseous, sweating globule that is curled up in the bottom of his seat!! :8

Agree - have done a few hours in Sibson's G-WREN. Awesome. Tiger's not bad either in a different way. However, if you fly either within the next few months, wrap up warm (particularly cover your chin if you're in the Tiger!)
