Why no Police Heli at Dartford ??

I dont want to be seen as flippant, but a teenage girl, somebodies daughter is missing, in the area around Dartford, why then are the police searching by hand in the marsh area when we have all been hearing lately of how good the Thermal camera's are on the latest Police Heli's, is there no Heli Unit in that area?

Yes, there are police helicopters serving the Metropolitan/Essex areas and the chances are that they have already done a sweep using their onboard equipment. Unfortunately thermal cameras can only detect heat. Do I need to say any more?

VFR, Essex ASU have spent quite a bit of time around Tilbury in the last week. In fact, if you'd been watching the national TV news on Monday evening you would have heard them!!!

Thankyou for that answer, No I haven't seen any live news at all this week only snatches of the daily rags, and a little on radio!
