Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding recruitment of F/O's at EK after hearing about people who were recruited to fly with relatively low hours (in the low hundreds).

First of all is there any possiblility of this keeping in mind the minimum requirements published on their website?

As far as I know, these opportunities are reserved for Emirates and Gulf nationals who have been either recruited to the Emirates Cadet Sponorship or self sponsored students who are returning to their country in search of employment.

Any insight is appreciated.

They are all Locals! The Cadets are trained in Australia but we picked up a few from a Local flying school with a dubious pedigree and are attempting to re-train them.

At present there are no plans to offer training to foreigners at or around Ab-initio level. If you take the view that we have been taking DECs to marginally reduce training costs, I think EK are very unlikely to pay the big bucks that would be required to train foreigners when they can get trained ones for peanuts already.

Sorry,
