A media Helicopter believed to be from the 7 network in Brisbane has located 2 missing bushwalkers on a rocky escartment at Mt Barney on the border Ranges of QLD and NSW. The crew were covering the story of 2 missing males aged in their early 30's the pair were last seen by other hikers and family 3 days ago. The journalist in the helicopter sighted the pair waving a space blanket from the rocky outcrop on the end of a stick on one of the highest points of the mountain, Mt Barney sits approx 4000ft high, EMS aircraft were also involved in the search.
:D Good result for all parties.

Certainly one of those feel good stories for a change, the cloudy and wet conditions delayed the search for a good 6 hrs from first light this morning.
I bet the 2 boy's are relaxing back tonight with a cold beverage, big steak and a warm bed nearby.:ok: Special mention to the crew from RACQ careflight who carried out the winch operation efficiently.

Big Mike,
The pilot was either Greg as OOgle mentioned or their new pilot Daniel Egan.

Cheers.
