Does anyone have any info on recent landing gear problems or incidents with the two DC9's Exec Aerospace are operating for SAX on the coastal routes?

Herewith the facts :-
About 2 weeks ago, one of the aircraft developed a snag on the gear warning horn after landing in Durban.
The defect was detected by the pilot taking over the aircraft during his pre-flight inspection routine. It was attributed to a sticky micro switch that warns you that the gear is still up when you close the thrust levers.
The engineer would not release the aircraft until the snag had been rectified and this lead to a 30 minute delay.
Of course the pax demanded to know the reason for the delay and they were told that a snag had been picked up with the u/c warning system.
Please note that there was no incident relating to this issue.
Now I would like to invite anybody who has never had a technical delay, to comment and post their opinions.

Settle Kenny...no one was dissing the aircraft- just interested in the facts, which you have now provided!
