Haven't been there for a while, but was shocked to be paying 5000 SEK for handling (incl VAT). A year ago you could just park near the terminal for nothing more than a landing fee....

Others feeling ripped off ?

Sounds about right. This is Sweden's first US style FBO and they have an exclusive contract to handle business aviation and GA at Bromma Airport. I'm sure they'll squeeze every last drop from anyone who steps on the ramp... Great stuff.:ugh:

Does that mean you have to take handling nowadays ? (Mandatory?)

In theory, the handling is optional.
When vacating the A/C I was asked whether I wanted handling or nor. I said 'no thanks' (due to price!)
When returning to the terminal 7 hours later I used the toilet in the FBO, which triggered a handling fee of 4000 sek. ex. VAT.

But then everything is supposed to be free ie. GPU, cabin heater, coffee, drinks, computer acces, crewroom etc. Also had a discount on de-icing...

So you could call it 'mandatory' handling as in AMS...make sure they work for their money though...

Just too bad the season was over! Plenty of ice on the A/C as well...
