In the U.S. there seems to be a shortage of helicopter training reference materials. I have seen several Helicopter Magizines from Canada that usually have training materials included as a article to the mag. My question is ,"are there any specialty training materials/references available in Canada? i.e. Sling Load Training, Long Line, Fire Fighting and ect?."

At the risk of self-advertising, my book - 'The Art and Science of Flying Helicopters' covers some areas not covered by other books. I know of no books that cover areas like long-line operations and the like.. .Shawn Coyle

Yes, there is - take a look at the Helicopter Pilot's Handbook in which longlining, fire suppression, etc etc is covered, plus a lot of techie and operational stuff (Shawn hasn't seen the latest version). Ask the mod - he's got a copy. I've just translated the ANO into English as well if anyone's interested.. .. .Phil. . . . [ 06 March 2002, 22:16: Message edited by: paco ]
