As far as I know mr. Branson lives in a flat next to Holland Park, London.

None of the individuals you refer to have any say in the recruiting policies of the companies they are associated with. Oh, and British Airways is a public company, owned by millions of shareholders. Which one did you have in mind?

While slightly cheeky approaches to company owners may work in small companies, and in less specialised fields, pilot recruiting in major companies is done by reference to exacting standards and in a way which accords the maximum fairness to all qualified applicants. Do not delude yourself that you can bypass this procedure with a chatty chitty to Sir Richard Branson (my boss)! Oh - and for Virgin you'll need about 4000 hours flying within an airline operation on heavy jets, or within the military, to qualify for an interview.
