Happy New Year !!
The EY website states that the Airline will acqure 5 777's.
When will the new airplanes arrive? Does anybody know the schedule ?
Are they hiring 767 pilots anytime soon?

Hi samuelcam,
It is indeed correct. Etihad Airways are receiving 5 B777-300ER's in 2006. All 5 are in various stages of construction.
The first, which is A6-ETA is sitting at Boeing awaiting the seat-manufacturers to deliver the seating.
I believe that it will arrive mid-Feb 2006. And the other 4 within a month or so of that...
They were originally scheduled for delivery around November 2005, but Boeing went on strike, and now the seat-manufacturer has problems...
If you visit airliners.net, you will find a picture of the first B777-300ER there...
Etihad will have a fantastic IFE system, will live satellite TV feed to each and every seat...

I bet they would love to take GF 767 pilots, but as far as I know, if you expat, you are bound by n o c, and word has it that EY won't pinch GF pilots. Agreement by the powers that be, I believe. Sucks, doesn't it?

EY will receive 5 777's between January & March 2006.
If you are looking for 777 position, it looks like you are late.
Are they recruiting for 767 anytime soon?.. Got no idea !
Did you see the EK website though ? There might be some issues involved
but it is worth considering . FYI EY have only 1 767/

Is it correct that the 777 deliveries have slipped right a bit ( due Boeing industrial problems last year), and that the associated 777 recruiting has slowed down aswell ?

Are they buying anymore B777 ER,LR? How's the weather like in EY, is it good? Any expansion plan? Command upgrade? This is one quiet place....

The EY guys are silent, it seems.
They do not like " foreigners ", it looks like.

we have no informations just rumors, the real is on the etihad website or newspapers the rest purely personnal expectations
