As better job opportunities for B737 drivers are openning up, looks like the mass exodus from AirAsia are starting to accelerate even more. Heard rumors from a friend at this outfit that someone highly rank in this company has actually gone to India to talk with another highly rank management guy at Jet Airways to not hire anyone from AirAsia. Also heard that Jet Airways actually agreed to this request even if it means having to park aircrafts due to shortage of pilots. This absolutely does not make sense at all!!!!! Could someone in AirAsia confirm whether this is true? Have there been any acceptance of Captains from AirAsia at Jet Airways recently.

Money talks, bull5hit walks.
These sort of rumours (about "high ranking manager talking to another company to stop pilots leaving") usually abound during these times.
What is Air Asia going to offer JET in return?

As you correctly state, JET are not going to park aircraft and cancel flights simply because another airline - a half a world away - can't afford to compete on the world market.
JET would be committing financial suicide if they did - and the person who made the decision would be out of a job quick smart.

Not to worry. Much like the M.East, no one in India walks the talk. Deceptions are extremely high & pleasantries are only kept up at face to face. Out of sight & it`s a whole new ball game from what has been agreed or promised! There will definitely be an exodus of pilots to Jet from AA. I understand the pay scales for drivers in India has taken a quantum leap. I know of many Indian drivers who have left MAS.

Yup, money talks while bull**** walks!
