I sometimes wonder if Lufthansa have got their act together. I just got their latest newsletter proudly announcing their new DUS-MAD service commencing January. I need to go (roundtrip) in February so I checked things out. Lufthansa want to charge me 1167 Euros in ECONOMY. LTU are offering COMFORT EUROPE (a basic Business Class product) for 296 Euros. Despite being a member of LH's Miles & More FF, guess who I'll be flying with?

Another one from Lufthansa, and other airlines too:

If you fly a route regularly, check if it is cheaper buying return tickets in the opposite direction.....

ie.. if you fly AMS-MUC & return, the ticket may be cheaper than if you buy MUC-AMS & return!

I know of several routes where this is the case....
