I have a copy of Britain's Glorious Navy (sic) from about 1944 (google it for more info), quite Boys Own style, lots of pics (suit aircrew ;-)) and Your Navy - Past and Present , 1965, written by the MoD for "junior readers", but I'd say it was aimed at 14+. 132 pp, a quick skim though RN history to the early 60s - would be good for an AIB candidate.
