Flew EZY3412 MUC-STN last Fri. Fairly windy at MUC (guess around 25 to 30kt, gusting to 35). Everyone boarded on schedule, but then delayed for some 40 minutes or so; the Capt eventually announced that we were delayed due to weather restrictions. Landed at STN some 50 mins late - now for the interesting part - no bags arrived. Swissport at STN announced that no baggage had been loaded at MUC, but gave no reason. The Capt must have known that no bags had been loaded, so why didn't he tell us? And why weren't the bags loaded in the first place at MUC? Was there some strange restriction on loading bagage in windy conditions? The bags eventually came in to STN on EZY3418 later that night - which makes me wonder how they packed them in together with the baggage for that flight.....

It could be all manner of reasons as to why the bags were not loaded, they range from:

1. A possible industrial dispute at MUC
2. Baggage belt failure at MUC
3. Flight crew possibly close to going out of hours

Did you actually ask the Swissport representatives as to why the bags hadn't been loaded? If you did, and they didn't know, why didn't you ask them to 'jolly well find out?'

With regards to the fact that the bags were loaded onto a flight later on in the evening, well that isn't a problem as the aircraft (assuming it was an Airbus 319?) has 2 baggage holds, normally only the rear hold would be used, but in exceptional circumstances the forward hold will be used - as long as the pilots are aware that baggage is in both holds then it isn't a problem.
