CAE signs multi-year training agreement with Qatar Airways

Montreal, November 23, 2005 – (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – CAE has been awarded a multi-year agreement for Airbus A330 and A340 pilot training by Qatar Airways. As part of the contract, CAE has moved an existing Airbus A330/A340 full-flight simulator from within CAE’s global network of training centres to a training facility in Doha, Qatar, to better meet market demand.

On October 27, 2005, the CAE-built simulator was certified Level-D equivalent – the highest level performance rating for flight training equipment – by Europe’s Joint Aviation Authorities and the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority.

“Bringing CAE’s training closer to Qatar Airways reflects an essential part of CAE’s training philosophy, which is to offer operators the most convenient and effective pilot training possible,” said Jeff Roberts, CAE’s Group President, Civil Training and Services.

The Doha training centre is part of the Airbus-CAE cooperation, which combines the two companies’ expertise to provide increased access to training to customers around the globe. Established in 2002, the Airbus-CAE cooperation operates the largest fleet of Airbus full-flight simulators in the world.

Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, operating flights from the capital, Doha, to 67 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Indian subcontinent and the Far East.

CAE is a leading provider of simulation and modelling technologies as well as integrated training services for commercial and business aviation, and defence customers worldwide. The company has annual revenues of approximately C$1 billion, with operations and training facilities in 17 countries on five continents.
