Cheers,

Alex

Whirlybird should already be in ORD, will be calling me tonight or tomorrow night as she adjusts to the time zone.

I'll be headed up to join her on Friday Afternoon, and I hope to cruise the hall Sat morning.

We'll both likely be able to honor your request.

did not see anything at the stand will check tomorrows show news , the Jag kit copter looked interesting choice of 4,5 ,6,7 or 8 blades 147 to 240 kusd with 250c18 turbine . Bell have a 206/407 ( JRX) wannabee , not sure what market it is aimed at. S76c plus looked fantastic. Was totally ignored at Collins stand .

Crap!

I was trapped in Ft. Laud all weekend. Vehicle issues that will run $1100 or so to repair.

So I missed it, damn ...

However it was a fun Saturday, low scud, etc in the area.

Whirlybird and friend did get some stateside R-44 time, but didn't get down to me by air due to weather.

However later that day they drove the distance, and we spent a few hours together. Really great to place a face to the poster hehe ...

Of course, Sunday was CAVU ... What can U do?

Well, I'm back in North Wales and the sun's shining and it looks like reasonable flying weather. Much better than Saturday when we tried to get to Fort Lauderdale anyway. Not that I have any objection to flying along the Florida coastline at 200 ft wondering just how much lower the cloud is going to get. In fact it was great fun. It's just that I had this strange idea that Florida was the sunshine state or something. Ah well, I got to go to Heli-Expo, and spend a day with the Whirly-Girls and put a lot of faces to names, and fly for the first time in the US and get to see an Air Park (don't have them over here), and meet RW-1, and get back in time for the Orlando Mini-Bash (where were you widgeon?). Not bad for three days But I think the double dose of jet lag is starting to kick in so I hope this post isn't complete gibberish.

That's OK widgeon. I was knackered too, and the music there was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think never mind speak, and there were only 6 people at the bash anyway, so I stayed less than an hour. You didn't miss too much.

Would have been nice to meet a fellow rotorhead though.
