Hello,

I heard that an SAA passenger suffered some kind of fatal medical event (heart attack?) during boarding in FAJS. Does anyone have the facts - curious to know more, ie response times/plans of local medical authorities etc. Just trying to be prepared in case I get something similar!

Mate if you fly on the same route as me ... you have a good chance. :E

Had a medical problem right in front of me on a my London leg of the flight.

This was about the 10th time (twice fatal).

EVERY flight always had a Doctor (or two) when they called .. amazing.

This Indian (lady) Doctor was great with the pax and she recovered well during the flight. (Low blood sugar made her pass out in the lavvie).

Cheers

Considering SAA's attitude towards pax (and I feel for the pax and the family, condolences) not surprising! Any bus airside at Jo'burg is bound to kill anybody!!!
