Based on age of the aircraft, it looks like the future home for a few hundred locals........

The DC-9 mishap was a Wetrafa plane, reportedly operating on a flight for Wimbi Dira.
Would not not be surprised if this was the same one (9Q-CWF) that was repaired after a belly landing ar BZV in April 2003.

Another fine mess by Tim Roman (remember him from the An12 wreck and the several Saberliner wrecks and the flying through trees B727 and his tyre burst GII at JNB etc) and his band of cowboys at WDA. No hydraulic pump on the engine that didnt fail !! plus the emergency system was inop??????????? the mind boggles.

I see that Wimbi Dira is advertising for pilots. From the recent record, looks to be a somewhat spotty outfit.

Anyone want to comment from first-hand knowledge/experience ?

Yep, the Herc incident was in Inongo. Boende would have been the military An26 failing to lift off and crashing on a market in Decembre 2003. Another sad one...

I don t think that was Inongo, I can tell that you cannot land with a C130 on this runway
I really think it looks like Boende, I will make some call and confirm that.

About the DC9, exactly that was the one which went out of the runway in BZV about 2 years ago.
They started to fly again with that one only 4 months ago maximum.
Pity for the Captain who is a friend...
( my last flight with him was on a DC8 which must still be on ground in FIH, engine failure on final!!!!!)

Hey Napoleon apparently you know a lot about WDA and Mr Roman
But You have forgetton the one with the DC3
It has gone for his 2nd or 3rd flights but we never saw it coming back
Impossible to know exactly what happened and don t remember where it was but the plane is burned!!!!

Another one the WDA 707 9Q-CWG, flying at FL250 max, can t go upper, but they still operate at standard landing weight plus 10...
10 what???? AH AH I can tell you it is not kG.....
My shortest contract: 24 hrs as F/O on 707, bad chance we broke the Right MLG at Kinshasa.
Employed and fired as fast!!!
There was an Hyd leak on this gear for almost 2 months.!!!!!

From the words of the technical responsible: How can you run a company without spare parts.
Not even brakes or oil!!!!!!!!

So much stories from this country.

I am glad I went out .......Alive!!!!

Tim Roman believes he is a law unto himself and is a legend in his own mind. I was told last weekend by his South African mechanic (unlicenced) that they had no spares avail and and all the DC-9 engines were either timex or in need of a major AD. The B707 is so rotten that he fears the horizontal stab will say howzit some time soon. The clown that destroyed the DC-9 of WETRAFA is still in Romans employ..whats he know that prevents him from being fired? We should keep an eye on him as Africa not to mention Congo has a habit of biting such lowlife scum firmly in the butt .
