Hajj time is close and I wonder, which airlines will be flying the prilgrims from Ghana, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Nigeria.
Nigeria is getting tough by forbidding aircraft older than 22 years and registered in 3D and 9L. No flying scrap anmore...

I am not sure how the NFAA or whomever passed the edict arrived at 22 years. There are very low time, well maintained aircraft are much older than that. What should be banned are any aircraft that have dubious passenger carriage certification and also anything without basic ACAS.
On more than one occassion I have had "ghost riders" pass straight across my nose several miles ahead. These guys do not transmit, enagae anti-col or nav lights or operate ACAS.It is encouraging that somebody flight safety for the HAJJ head on.
