Sorrrrrry but....

Has the Mil thread become the spotters thread??? No??? Didn't think so.

Nice pics but, maybe they are better being shown on the appropriate thread.

Disagree. Current RAF personnel flying current RAF aircraft. Maybe pictures of a few contributors. Keep 'em coming. (More Chinny phots please).

Alpha jets???

Jumpseater: You're obviously not a spotter then:(

HAWK (http://onfinite.com/libraries/706723/bf5.jpg)

ALPHA JET (http://onfinite.com/libraries/706724/cda.jpg)

Spot the difference now.

The obvious being low wing Vs high wing:ugh:

I dodge the former for a living every day:ouch:

Sorry Max. Disagree. How do you know they are RAF personnel flying RAF aircraft?

This thread should be moved to the spotters area soonest.

Disagree.
I don't care who's flying them. They are military aircraft and it's nice to see them on a military forum. I'm not a spotter so don't frequent the spotters forum but I like to have a sneeky peak if they're on here.
Don't be such a miserable git. It's no skin off your nose which forum they're on.

Agree with BV......don't be a miserable git.... hands up those who don't want them on here.
Excellent shots which would be missed by the hundreds that like me never go to the spotters pages.
Reminds me of looking down on Tornados, Jags etc in Glos as they tried to dodge the "secret" installation on Bredon Hill.
More of the same please.

Mil forum - mil kit acceptable.

Southside, have you always been such a miserable git, or are we seeing symptoms of inadequacy? :p

5th Dec 2005, 16:06
Southside - how miserable can you get? We have here some fine pics of HM's aircraft (and I don't care who is flying them) doing their job - what part of this annoys you?

That you are not flying them yourself, perhaps, having failed to get a FJ slot?;)

Roland Pulfrew
5th Dec 2005, 16:17
Southside is right of course (strange really) they could be Indian Air Force personnel! :p

I am happy to see the pictures here, military pages, military aircraft and I rarely, if ever, go to the spotters pages so would never see good pictures of this sort. What's the problem...... apart from the misident of course! ;)

How do you know they are RAF personnel flying RAF aircraft?
Hmmm.....maybe it's because the RAF/RN (inc. any of their subsiduaries) is the only outfit to fly Hawks in the UK right now?
Or maybe it's the presence of a roundel and an XX123 UK military airframe registration that gave it away?

Excellent military aviation phots completely at home in a military aviation forum. Keep 'em coming. :ok:

Nice pictures, well presented

Bob Viking
6th Dec 2005, 13:02
Not only are you very slow to catch on (IAF mentioned on previous page) but that is also a very pedantic and boring comment.
The aircraft are brit mil and thats all that matters.
We could always just read endless posts about politics and IOT instead, with no pictures to make life a bit more interesting. That'd be fun!

Great pics - have you got a massive ladder or is it just a very long lens (oo-er)?
Don't bother moving them, they're at least stimulating some debate amoungst those who want them gone whilst the rest of us admire them!

Great pictures.
The direct ‘overhead’ views of the cockpit appear to be the equivalent of the PR squadron’s airborne photos of a ‘chimney’ where the photo is directly ‘on top’.
Now what is the ground equivalent of the PR ‘belfry’ – the airborne oblique or side-view photo through the bell tower?

Crikey Southside, I know you like to disagree with EVERYTHING, but this really takes the biscuit.
How do you know they are RAF personnel flying RAF aircraft?
Well, there can be no doubt whatsoever that it is an RAF Hawk. Additionally, there is a 99% chance that it is crewed by British military pilots. There is a small chance that it contains a Foreign & Commonwealth student or instructor, but I couldn't give a kipper's if that was the case. They are still bloody good MILITARY pictures, quite at home on this forum. I would be delighted if Jumpseater had snapped me snotting down a Welsh valley.

Your comment on this thread (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=201320) (although you will say it is all tongue in cheek) and on many others, suggest that you have no experience or knowledge of how the RAF works. Maybe it is you that should not be featuring on the Military Aircrew board.

Regards,

Stout

Please have a look at my website if you want to see more low-level action. I've had a fair few pilots/navs e-mailing me saying 'that's me, that's me' and as a thank you I usually send them a copy of the photo.

Oh, I agree - Mil a/c on a Mil forum should stay.

Thanks Vigilant Pilot, flattered. If I knew you, the drinks would be on me, I don't though, so I'll keep the cash!

The site's still in prep stages and maybe some time yet before it goes live again. The forum is quite active with piccies, all the low level stuff can be found by contacting me.

A couple of shots you may have seen before.

This is a local forum for local people and it's rather pleasant to see pictures of the children playing nicely, I keep the spotter pages blocked by parental control software so keep up the good work!
