where can I buy small ( 2 inches or less) RAF station crests in metal. Its an idea for a leaving present.

I assume you mean lapel badges. Try the shop at the RAF Museum, Hendon (or Cosford).

basically I want to get a load of station crests, mount them on a plaque showing career details for one of our lads who is redundant soon.

However . . .

Could you not download digital images, resize each to a standard size that fits your scheme, print out in colour, attach to wooden plaque thing, varnish and garnish to suit?

Lo-tech? Yes. But possibly more "doable".

The RAFA guys who ran a stall at Lyneham families day have a large selection.

PM me and I'll pass on your details to them. Maybe if its a reasonable sized request they might stick them in a jiffy bag for you and post them.

In fact anyone out there can do the same.
