Just heard that if you are flying with Gulf Air it would be impossible to get on with Emirates or Etihad. Do they have some kind of agreement not to pick guys from GF?

Not true, there a dozens of ex Gulf Air pilots at EK.

FF are you not aware of what's going on here? 70 odd applications are pending with EY from GF, to put it very modestly, all well qualified and rated. Why do you suppose these individuals are still with GF? Hint, it's not for the exotic destinations, nor for the ample rest times they enjoy in GF. Now that AUH is pulling out of GF so are all the stops. Lets put it this way, very shortly there will be plenty of parking space available in GF ops so even the junior secreteries will be accomodated because poor souls have to go round the back now and park were they're supposed to park in the first place.
