Thats some impressive flying.

I saw an RAF Chinook do something similar on a NI hill site LP that was too small to take the whole aircraft, at night though.

My hat goes off to the rotary lads, as a non-flying type theirs appears to be truly the most difficult sort of flying to do.

As an ex-rotary type I was sure impressed. Good teamwork with the loadmaster who was guiding the pilot. Not a lot of clearance with the aft rotor tups and the dirt.

Did something similar with a UH-1 doing a rooftop insertion with some special ops boys. Had to put the port skid on the ledge of the roof whilst the lads hopped out. Big C of G change. Ah the gold old days!
