I've been doing numerous seaches, spending alot of time learning from here, but still feel the need to ask a question.

I'm a Canadian pilot, with just over 200hrs with my CPL. What are my options for work OTHER than Instructor. Obviously work in a hot tropical country, flying even a 172 carrying horse **** to a remote town to fertilize their files, sounds pretty promising and rewarding to me!

I just want to know what my options are to help build up hours to anything, even just to 250.

I know flying people is going to be rare with only 200hrs. Are there any geographical areas (like Africa, Belize, etc.) that I should concentrate on? I'd prefer anything other then Canada.

Oh yeah, I know I'll probably have to start by working on the ground for a while... I also have airport operation and flight operations experience.

thanks in advance for constructive responses

Hmmm

I'd be more concerned about the limitations on your licence.

A Canadian CPL is only gonna allow you to fly Canadian registered aircraft, which restricts you, in most cases, to Canada!

You might wanna consider spending the money on upgrading to a JAR licence. You then have a better chance of cutting it here in Europe.

Have you thought about going the skydiving route? Not sure if there are any DZs near you, but that's one good way to build hours. You need to get your face known first tho as few pilots are recruited for this on the back of a CV....
