Download monitor

I am looking for a programme, preferably free, that I can use to monitor my download traffic. I have just renegotiated a deal with my ISP and this includes a download limit and this is what I hope to monitor

I asked the very same question (here) (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=180479) and tried out netmeter which did just that. It displays current use and running totals.
