Hello All, Does any one know if Oom Gus is stil alive? Stil Flying? or is hi soutfit that was at Eros still going?

oom Gus lost his medical about two years ago and his company was sold about seven years ago.
Poor chap was doing some driver work last i saw him.

Heck!! What a pitty for such a gentlemen should never stop flying!!:( Never met anyone in my live with so much passion for his students and aviation as Gus. Gave me a PPL many moons ago. All on appro for a poor guy in those years. I could pay his monthly without interest. And I did. Still remember ZSGUS, ZSUYS and ZSIFM .. all C150's which we used to train on. Gus sitting next to you..pretending he is asleep...but if you do something wrong, he is on you with a flash!!:E . If anyone stil has contact with him, please convey sincerest appreciation for what he has done for aviation in his life. I am sure much appreciated by many. many pilots being trained by Gus.
