Cat gets plane to itself

Czech Airlines had to fly a cat home on an empty plane after the animal escaped from the cargo hold.

Workers could not find the cat and officials judged it was too dangerous to allow the passengers back on board.

The airline was forced to cancel the flight from Frankfurt to Prague after technicians failed to catch the runaway cat which was hidden somewhere on the plane.

Czech Airlines spokeswoman Jitka Novotna said the plane returned to Prague with just the crew and the cat on board, before the cargo hold was dismantled and the cat was finally removed.

Back at Big Airways, a B747 E.O. reported a bad smell coming from the Flight Engineers panel. We found a nest of kittens behind the main battery. It took another two days to find the mother and persuade her to leave too. You'd never believe how fierce feral kittens can be and I still have the scars to prove it... :ooh: :ouch:

Good God, I could feed a pack of dogs for a month on that cat alone.

Both cats and snakes have a tendency to hiss in warning...mere coincidence?!

Just a casual thought here----just how big is an ATR hold ( or holds ) after all ? Never seen one close up, but it strikes me as being "not very"--and unless the hold is significantly different from any I spent many  hours crawling around in, there aren't that many holes and places a puddy could get into ?

>there aren't that many holes and places a puddy could get into ?

It was an ickle kitty puddy,
not that hairy ginger pussy the size of a horse's collar . . .

Well even if it was an ickle lickle puddy :ok: were it's claws replaced with allen keys / tri-wing bits or just a good old fashioned adjustable spanner ?----unless the ATR has dirty great holes all round the inside of a hold---or somebody hasn't panelled up properly of course--perish the thought :ooh:

What is missing from this discussion - for perspective - is a picture of the Maine Coon Rat.
