How to unlock the Nokia 6680

Has any one here tried doing this, if so please help. Nice phone, need to use it outside the UK, but I have to unlock it first.

I have written up the start of this before - and aI will write up a detailed account later, but for now :

For everyone that buy a Nokia 6680 from Vodafone - their helpdesk has just given up on unlocking the Nokia 6680 they supplied us with, as they are unable to get unlocking codes.

They even told me to take it to a streetmarket or similar to get it unlocked, and they would refund the cost. But it turns out that none of the “normal” places that unlock mobile phones will not unlock 6680's.

So the phone will be sent back... >

Its really unfortunate, cos I'm not in the UK at the mo and I really dont fancy paying to FedEx the bloody thing bk just to get it unlocked. Cheers anyway
