Have only just read in today's Telegraph about GKN putting Battersea Helipad up for sale; the figure being mentioned was in the region of £10m. It seems that the site may be of interest to property developers as a site for residential purposes, leaving no helipad. What alternatives could be considered or developed?
Would be a great shame to lose it for houses; nowhere else anywhere close to central London....

The word on the street is that the council will only give permission for the existing use to be continued, but with big developement money peoples views can be changed!

Talk about deja vu - this was hot news throughout the 70's!! Wonderful how Battersea has managed to survive for all these years.

Not been in there since late 1980. Bit much to expect the same personalities to be in the tower - is the lovely Bridget still there - and Phil and John? Dave must have retired years ago?
