Some people just should not fly.

ahhh and what funny viewing it made. The channel 7 footage with sound was even better.

I hope that guy is never allowed to get an aircraft again by his insurance company. He doesn't deserve to own one!

Let's not be too hard on the guy, he wasn't the only twit. What kind of idiot leaves his fire truck parked on the side of the road when some other idiot announces his intention to take off along the same road???

Where were the pigs? Why didn't they step in to save this guy from himself?

Shame they didn't show the in-bred locals looting the wreckage later that night...

He runs out of fuel then...............

He survives to have another go, fortunately for him he wont get a third chance and he's still alive to perpetuate the species then :rolleyes:

Looked like a nice C210 too:{

And then theres is the granny who just won a USD$2.5 million award against Winnebago.

She buys this really flash one and driving her new toy home down the freeway she decides to try out the new Cruise Control, finding it works a treat she decamps :rolleyes: down the back to her new kitchen to make herself a sandwich and coffee.:ok:

The good ol Winnie carries on unaided for a bit but eventually camber takes over and into the ditch she goes, granny and all.

The court ruled that Winnebago should have had a placard pointing out the hazards of leaving the wheel whilst in motion with cruise control selected :\ :\ :uhoh:

Unfortunately this is one of those "urban legends". Go to http://www.snopes.com/autos/techno/cruise.asp (http://)

Deburcs, what happened to the whole pilot responsibility to make sure flight path is clear of obstructions. Not having a go at you, just saying you would think he'd be extra careful taking off from a road and not being all gung ho about it. The wingspan of a C210 isn't especially long anyway, surely he could see he wasnt going to fit.:}

Ladies and Gents

It should remain in the forefront of your mind that while the Yanks have delivered great things in the form of technology, aviation, space travel, military might etc.......

They generally are still not the brightest lot on the planet.

In this case I see the validation of my previous comment.
