I am hoping someone has any info on Ryanairs current recruitment, and why there are several cadets who have been sitting at home for around three months (making no money) after completing their T/R, waiting to be called to get on with their Base training. Not a very good start I must say. At first it seemed like the Boeing strike was to blame, but that only lasted 4 weeks.

Ah yes the boeing strike....... wasn't a bit of a smoke screen to cover up the fact that the IAA wouldn't allow FR to register any more aircraft until they sorted out the crewing problems was it???:E

I am having troubble trying to convince myself in paying about €2000 to attend the tests at East Midlands, all incl.

Isn't it time that the company starts to pay the sim costs?

Just wondering when the day comes when you don´t have to pay so much just for applying and attending some tests...

Caraman, bad move saying that. Now your going to have some people on here bombarding you with the likes of "THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY OWES YOU NOTHING". As ive said all along, dont pay these silly fee's,if everyone stick's together and refuse's to pay, then maybe it will change, but on the other hand,it's not going to happen. Airlines NEED pilot's,that goes without saying so now it's time for the pilot's to hold the airline's ransom. As Jim Royle would say......... 25k for a TR.........My arse!!!!

Q 1- Not enough training-captains,and yes it makes sense to concentrate on command line-training,they can fly 2 capts together but not(yet!) 2 F/O's. Q2- they will stop charging when people stop paying;if you look at it from their point of view, it would be silly to do otherwise? no ?
