I really figured that it was going to be just a matter of time before she withdrew. She just didnít have enough experience.

How curious. Saddam played a WMD shell game, refused to concede to UN inspection, and said "trust me". Look where it got him.

Bush proposed a WH confidant, claimed executive privilege regarding any documentation supporting her, and said "trust me". Look where it got him.

The irony is that was Bush's supposed conservative friends who didn't trust him to have appointed someone conservative enough who forced this climbdown. Interesting times in Washington, which could become more interesting tomorrow when the CIA-wife-unmasking affair is supposed to announce what if any indictments there are.
