According to La Prensa, Air Madrid has not only expressed interest in operating flights between Spain and Nicaragua, but also in establishing a maintenance base in Nicaragua that will serve Air Madrid as well as other airlines.
According to the investment promotion agency Pro Nicaragua (http://www.pronicaragua.org/) , the establishment of a maintenance base could directly generate up to 300 new jobs.
Somewhat surprised at this news.
