Can someone tell me the actual requirements for ICUS.

The way i read it, so long the both of us have CPL's and approval from the aircraft owner we can log it as ICUS.

Anyone disagree?

CAR 1998 Section 5.40 (Pg. 160)

You need approval from the operator of the aircraft.

Operator is defined as a person, organisation or enterprise engaged in, or offering to engage in, an aircraft operation - so I guess that would be the owner of the aircraft in some instances, however I don't see why the hirer couldnt also be defined as the operator, which could be...well, you.
