At a low ebb? Need some encouragement?

Then try http://www.raf.mod.uk/heritage/Spirit05.pdf

(NB - this may take two attempts to load and may scroll up and down in a funny manner).

Well, someone's got a new wanko-font package to play with!

If they were going to publish it in .pdf form - all 13MB of it, they might have reset the page layouts. Would anyone like to do an essay to illustrate the sketch of Douglas Bader's left ear (p.15) on the contribution of that part of his anatomy to the war effort?

Talking of respect for heritage, how do XV Sqn feel about their Squadron Standard being relegated to being a background and overprinted with a lurid neon title?

Overall, a far better use of public funds than providing armoured transport for troops in Basra (or, indeed, a £50K per year armoured car for Ms Booth QC).

What've all those pics of chaps dressed as cabbages got to do with heritage?

(At least they didn't re-name Gibson's dog).

Like the RISE bit - Respect, Integrity, Service before self, Excellence !

Any chance that Bliar and his cronies, or for that matter, other people in government and on the gravy train, could adopt and display these same qualities ?

Not forgetting what Bliar said recently and openly - " I have no nostalgia for by-gone era's "

He also stated that once he stood down as PM, he had no intention of taking part in the House of Commons

Perhaps we should read "Self before service"

Love many, Trust a few, Always paddle your own canoe !
