What happens to luggage in transit at AMS when there are several hours before the outbound flight even comes in? Time and again mine gets left behind on my way to BKK and beyond, when I have a 6 hour wait myself.

AMS is a nightmare for disappearing bags. My guess is it all gets dropped into a bottomless swirling vortex never to be seen again. Theres probably a planet somewhere in the universe covered in bags that have been tagged thru AMS at somepoint. lol.

I wish I had more faith in KLM to get a later connecting flight and lose the 6 hour wait. I reckon my luggage only gets through with me about 50% of the time.

The trick is to have a short connection. With those SHOCON stickers on, and a 45 minutes connection, I have yet to lose any luggage at AMS (unless there is an aircraft change and a delay in which case you and your luggage will go on your seperate ways)
